In view of the alarming increase in the number of cases of COVID19, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra announced a lockdown in Mumbai and Maharashtra.
Given the difficulties experienced in the earlier lockdown, with its adverse effect on the business communities, Mumbai-based IT system integrators association- ASIRT immediately swung into action to get connected with the concerned authorities in the state government. The association’s president Tushar Parekh, connected with the CM’s office with a request to include IT Goods & Services as “Essential Services”. More so since IT had proved to be the backbone to all the operations be it Government, Healthcare, Education, NGO, Industry, Professionals and “Work from Home” individuals.
